What I keep, and what I don't.
The short version
- If you sign up for updates or the Launch Study, I only email you about what you picked: new case studies and Notebook entries, Launch Study news, or taking part in the study.
- For now your email is held in a list that is only for romance signal, inside the email service threnne uses. threnne doesn't use it for anything else.
- No cookies, trackers or analytics that identify you.
- Email info@romancesignal.com to have your email deleted.
Signing up
The updates list: I email you when there is a new case study or Notebook entry, and you can leave with the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to info@romancesignal.com.
The Launch Study news list: I email you about the Launch Study, if you asked to hear more, and you can leave the same way.
The take part list: if you checked the box to take part in the Launch Study, I email you to talk about how you could be involved, and you can leave the same way.
Emailing me
Emails to info@romancesignal.com are kept so I can reply, and to log corrections.
Visiting the site
No cookies, trackers or analytics that identify you.
Hearts: when you tap one, your browser keeps a random ID made just for this, and I count the heart against it. The ID isn't tied to your name or email. The taps sit in a table that is only for romance signal, in a database threnne runs. Clearing this site's data in your browser starts you over.
Ratings Rewind: the answers you type into the hands-on rewind are saved in your browser only. They never reach me. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
romance signal and threnne
I don't share data between them. romance signal has its own email address, info@romancesignal.com. Your sign-up sits in a list that is only for romance signal, held in the email service threnne uses. threnne doesn't use that list for anything else. This page will say so if that changes. How the two are kept apart
Deleting your data
Email info@romancesignal.com and I'll delete your email address.
Heart taps can't be linked to you, so I can't find or delete them one by one. Clearing this site's data in your browser ends the link between you and them.
